Vibrant Media creates global CTO role

London, 2nd August 2012 —(M&M Global)— Contextual advertising specialist Vibrant Media has appointed former AOL and Advertising.com executive Tom Iler in the newly-created role of chief technology officer.

In this global role, Iler will lead Vibrant Media’s technology strategy and execution, with a specific focus on innovation, automation, data optimisation, product management and development.

Prior to Vibrant, Iler was executive vice-president and chief information officer of Ascend One, where he was responsible for software engineering, business analytics, technology operations and project management.

Before that, he was senior vice-president and chief information officer at digital ad platform AOL Advertising/Platform-A. He also served as chief information officer of Advertising.com, where he led the company’s technology team.

“Tom’s prior experience leading technology for Advertising.com and AOL’s Platform-A contributes to his stellar reputation as a strong leader and gifted, creative thinker,” says Vibrant Media chief executive Cella Irvine.
